Teaching Philosophy
Teaching Philosophy
Mike believes that every individual, given the opportunity, can rise to levels that even they thought were impossible. If a person is treated with respect and dignity, feels at ease, and is taught to believe in themselves, great progress becomes the norm. All people deserve the chance to experience this kind of learning, and Mike strives to create a nurturing and fun-filled yet rigorous atmosphere tailored to an individual's personality and strengths.

"Mike has brought out an incredible confidence in my child. Archie is so outgoing now, and willing to take on new challenges. Because our son loves these lessons so much, I've never had to ask him to practice. It's truly a fantastic studio!"

After eight years of lessons, and about to major in music:
"I don't know how I can ever thank you enough for what you have done for me. You have taught me true humor, been a great role model, but most importantly you re-ignite my passion for music when I lose it. Thank you so much."

"Taking piano lessons with Mike is really fun and I've really learned a lot. He is a really great teacher and his jokes are really cheesy. Sometimes we play fun games at the piano."
